Can you believe it's Thanksgiving already? Doing anything exciting? I'm guessing you're probably spending the holiday with family...eating, reminiscing and, hopefully, taking time to reflect on what you're most thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday. When we think about the things we're most grateful for, it's easy to think of the good stuff, right? It's easy to think of the obvious stuff, i.e., family, friends, etc. But what about adding some of the following not-so-obvious items to your gratitude list? I'm betting that, if you … [Read more...]

The Anti-Bucket List: If You Wanna Get Rid of Regrets, Try This…
Tell me, have you made a bucket list? Full of all the things you want to do before you die? Well, today, I'm going to share with you a different kind of list. And it's a list I came up with while walking at the river last week with my wonderful mom and dad. I love the river at this time of year...beautiful scenery, and I think I've identified at least five adorable doggie breeds I want to get one day (Yes, I probably need to go live on a farm!)! And, while today's post may be short and sweet (or maybe just sweet!), it's something I think is important and critical for each one of us to put into practice each day. It's something I've actually practiced myself since childhood and that I was reminded of while watching a repeat of The Oprah Winfrey Show (on OWN). (Hey, that's what lazy Sundays are for, … [Read more...]
Through Robin Williams’ Life, We Laughed. Through Robin Williams’ Death, We Learn.
I don't normally follow celebrities' lives. Really, I don't. Yep. No keeping up with the Kardashians for me, thank you very much. But something about Robin Williams' death this past week deeply saddened me. What a loss... As an actor and comedian, oh how he made us laugh. (And sometimes cry...) As a person, by all accounts, he was enormously generous and giving...doing many things quietly to help others. Really, the stories I've read paint the picture of an incredibly compassionate and humble soul. Powerful lessons Robin … [Read more...]
